The Morning Show is a mirror that reflects our silences and unspoken compromises. The play is set in a small town, where sexuality, bodily changes, and desire are often silenced. Ashok and Maya embody two distinct worlds. Ashok’s world is limited, bound by fear and false honour; and Maya’s is open, questioning, and ready to embrace truth. A story of suppressed desires, misguided knowledge, and quiet violence growing in small towns – where children, caught between the silence of elders and the hypocrisy of society, lose their way while searching for their own path, The Morning Show, is not a straightforward crime tale.

Director’s Note
The Morning Show is a mirror that reflects our silences and unspoken compromises. The roots of crime do not lie in a single individual, but in the mindset, we have nurtured in the name of society and tradition. For me what matters the most is that the actors and the entire team became part of the process through acting, writing, or direction. If this play unsettles you, its purpose is achieved. Because change often begins with discomfort.
