Nanha Scientist is an inspirational play that brings forth the curiosity, courage, and struggle hidden within children – qualities that inspire them to think differently, understand deeply, and accomplish the extraordinary. This play not only offers a glimpse into the life of the great scientist Thomas Alva Edison, but also becomes the voice of all those children who are unable to freely express their talents due to societal norms, educational systems, or family pressures.
The play shows how Edison was a child with an unusual way of thinking – dismissed by his school as incompetent and unfit. But his mother never lost faith in him. She guided, encouraged, and made him believe that his way of thinking was his true strength. Her inspiration, combined with the child’s determination, gave rise to a scientist who lit up the entire world.
This play is dedicated to every child who dreams, who questions, who stumbles but rises again. It teaches us that failures are not the end of the path but experiences that make us stronger. Nanha Scientist is not just a story – it’s a celebration of the fire that burns within every struggling child.

Directorial
In directing Nanhe Scientist, Mohit Jain aimed to ensure that the play is not just a biography of a historical figure but also gives space to the mental and social struggles of today’s children. The structure of the play is designed in such a way that children, while watching Edison, do not just see him as a character but also see a reflection of themselves. Mohit Jain’s directorial vision focuses on how a child who thinks differently and is repeatedly rejected, can achieve greatness if given the right support and belief. In this play, Edison is not just a character but becomes a symbol – for all those children who ask questions, stumble, yet rise again. Through dialogues, scenes, and presentation, the director has attempted to ensure that the play not only inspires but also touches upon the emotional realities of children.
