Director’s Note

Ramayan is the history of Bhartiya civilisation and depicts the victory of good over evil. As writer and director, I have used the events in the life of Shriram to inculcate moral values in children performing the play and, through its performance, in the society. The play has 10 original songs with dances; through 44 scenes involving changing sets, the play test the skills of artists doing lights, music, costumes, property and set movements, and the actors. As a writer, I sowed the seeds of each scene, later synthesized as the director and transformed by the artists between 5 to 14 years age, in a metamorphic way to give a unique experience to the audience.
