After millions of years of mutation and evolution from a single celled organism we have become the Homo Sapiens, the wise human. However, by looking at our past and present actions does this term that we have bestowed upon us by ourselves justified? The play takes us on a journey of a conversation between a ‘wise man’ and a ‘vulture.’ who questions the ‘wiseness’ of the wise man. The wise man replies about why he is entitled to the exploitation of the world as how his species has suffered and endured for millions of years and today, he got to a point where no other species can compete with him. He talks about the man-made creations like Media and Medical Care and how he is above all living things. However, the vulture questions and shows him the defects and shortcomings of the wise man’s creations and how it will bring disaster to mankind and the earth.

Director’s Note
We are Homo sapiens, i.e. wise humans. After several millennia of evolution and mutation from a single celled amoeba, we became the complex ultimate human system. Even after reaching the top of the ladder, do we ask ourselves “Are we really wise?” Or is it from our perspective that we are wise, or are we wise from other species’ perspective also? We are inspired by Yuval Noah Harari’s various texts. It is an experimental play.
