“Atrangi Satrangi” is an imaginative play for children, in which an elderly grandfather takes a child on a journey through various strange and symbolic worlds. Through these journeys, the child witnesses how humans repeatedly harm nature, how society can become completely upside down, and how people live like puppets, bound and controlled.
Freeing the puppets and confronting one’s own shadow symbolize the child’s inner journey, where he begins to recognize his own mind, desires, and thoughts. In the end, the grandfather helps him understand that true change does not lie in the outer world, but within us in our thoughts and the way we think.
This play conveys messages of independent thinking, love for nature, and self-awareness to children.

Dr. S. Boominathan
Dr.S.Boominathan was born in 1987. He studied MA, B.Ed, M.Phil, in Tamil literature in Madurai Kamaraj University, Diploma holder in Design and Direction from national school of drama in new delhi 2016. He is also a PhD holder from University of Madras in Chennai. He is also founder and director of the Bhooloham theatre trust in Dindigul. He was faculty at Anupam Kher actor prepares and Radaan media works, Chennai in 2011 and 2012 and visiting faculty at Blue Ocean film and television Academy Chennai. He has conducted weekend theatre classes and workshop at Dr.Ambedkar cultural Academy and worked at Nigazh theatre centre in 2004 to 2011 in Madurai and NGOs in Tamil Nadu, worked in more than 45 colleges as theatre practitioner. He was organiser of the theatre festival like Terukuththu festival, children theatre festival in Tamil Nadu. He has acted in more than 35 plays and directed places like Tartuffe, Forest, Prasatham, Towards the Gap, Not Like you, Ajeeb Dastan etc. He also worked as director and designer in more than 53 plays. He also conducted Children theatre workshops in Abroad and Bahrain.
Deepa
Deepa is professionally working as theatre expert and guiding childrens and youngsters of different institutions from last 15 years. She is associated with TIE NSD co. , where she nurtures creativity and confidence of childrens through multiple intensive and intresting exercises of acting, literature and total theatre.
She is a creative writer, choreographer and dedicated theatre expert. She awarded Gold Medal for her M.A. in Theatre and Television and honored with the Dr. HS Memorial Scholarship Award. She has also done NSD certificate course. She is actively associated with TIE, company to organise various workshops, Sunday club activities etc. She has vast experience to conduct and manage the seminars, talks with experts.Deepa has worked powerfully across all three domains – design, direction and acting.
