KATHA

Since man has a history, Katha also has a history. Since the beginning of human civilization, there has been a lot of emphasis on telling stories. There is a long tradition of storytellers in this country, who have been running their lives only by storytelling. Drama ‘Katha’ is the plight of the story made possible by the dialogue of such narrators, in which Kathik talks about to save love and water through the story of Guriya and Lochan. Kathik feels that to save the world, love and water need to be saved. The play repeatedly reveals from its narrative thread that anyone who is smooth, gentle, delicate, or, fragile the cruelty of the time will kill them, and if it not, then it will at least make it cruel like itself.

Love and water the two significant elements for human being which is the central idea of the play without which we can not imagine the welfare of human. The struggle of water is adapted as struggle of love to make it reach up to the height of class struggle. What should be the relevant theatrical language with poem, music, dialogues, actors’ emotions, and human nature during the process of the making of the play? The focus has been on to present a drama in which there should be involvement of important theatrical elements.
