Under the blue sky, like a gently flowing river, this play unfolds slowly-carrying with it the sweet fragrance of childhood, the warmth of relationships, and the relentless truth of time. Thoda Idhar Thoda Udhar is not just a story about children; it is the tale of a childhood that changes before our very eyes-sometimes smiling, sometimes quietly slipping away. Through movements and the rhythm of the story, we are taken into the lap of nature. Towering mountains, snowy peaks, cold breezes, the shade of trees, and the scent of earth-all come together to create a world where childhood is free and unbound. But as time passes, innocence gradually shrinks into a tiny screen. One may hold the entire world in their hands, yet the heart wanders elsewhere. The threads of home fall silent, and relationships grow quiet. Still, the story does not drown in despair-it shows the way. It tells us that phones may be close, but time must also be shared; technology may exist, but it should never replace relationships. The shade of trees, the scent of soil, the laughter of friends, a mother’s lullaby, a father’s words-these are the real networks that a child connects to. The play reminds us that true connection is born not of signals, but of sensitivity; and childhood resides not in screens, but in smiles. “Thoda Idhar, Thoda Udhar”-both a question and an answer. It does not scold; it only holds up a mirror. Balance is the way. A little towards the screen, a little towards your loved ones. And when that balance is found, childhood truly smiles.
